Every so often a project comes along that we just can’t say no too, this is one of those projects! It’s something a little different but we’ve been working hard on this for months and now it’s finished we’re super excited to share with you.
It all started back in November 2012 when Nikki from Be Eventful got in touch to say that she had an exciting project and wondered if we would be interested in getting involved. We jumped at the chance, not only was it an awesome opportunity to film a music video for Katie Sutherland (who we’ve been fans of for years) it was also for a great cause, So Precious who raise money for the Forth Valley Neonatal & Children’s Unit.
It was clear that we had to get involved straight away not only for the reasons above but because there felt a personal gratitude towards neonatal facilities. Back on the 8th of December 2004 Gregg’s cousin Lanark was born at only 29 weeks gestation weighing just 960grams!
This was a cause close to his heart albeit Lanark was born thousands of miles away in Calgary Canada, he went on to spend 3 months in hospital there finally getting the all clear to go home at only 3pounds, after just one scare a week later he’s now grown up and is a cool, clever eight year old dude!
So knowing the great work these neonatal units do how could we pass up this chance to support them and instantly started thinking of ideas for the video while playing the song over and over in the office. We started scripting and storyboarding and as soon as everything was nailed down we sent out casting calls, held auditions followed by full on production mode!
Anyway enough babbling from us for now, hit play and let us know what you think? Also check back on Tuesday for our production diary with tales about getting stuck in a lift and lights catching fire! LOL
