The marriage of Geoff and Zoe took place on one of Scotlands brightest April days in 2012. An early morning start saw both prepare for their celebrations ahead. Each couple had their own group of close nit friends and family around them as any couple should have. The bubbly was popped, the balloons fastened in Australian custom, kilts on, dresses up and tied. Not before the groom and his groomsmen went for a swim at ayr beach to blow off the cobwebs from a late night in the Hotel Bar (at the Ellisland). The excitement was palpable!
With guest spilling from the Brig O’ Doon House Hotel in anticipation, seeking first sighting of the bride, and the groom waiting patiently for his bride. The day did kick of in proper wedding style….. a perfect ten minutes late! It’s an unwritten rule of weddings, neither the less the grooms’ always sweat it!
Reverend David Ness performed a brillant, funny and sentimental ceremony, complimented greatly by the reading of Burns words by Andrew and a lovely poem written by close friend Nicola.
The guests were able to take advantage of the stunning grounds at Brig O’ Doon in the spring sun, with the odd drink and canapé before heading back in to continue the celebrations into the wee small hours!
Thank you for having us as part of you day Geoff & Zoe, we wish you all the best in your future years together!
