In a venue far far away, rings of love lay protected, hidden deep within a popcorn wasteland. Lisa and Gary set out in search of these rare rings beginning their quest on the 20th of October at Dynamic Earth. A slight drizzle welcomed the morning’s bride and groom preparations. Gary and his best man planned a shave at the barbers while Lisa was to surround herself with bridesmaids and family.
With the couples shared interest in film, the theme of the days wedding was that of movies. The venue was decorated with old posters and handmade centrepieces of film characters and there was of course a bountiful amount of popcorn for guests to enjoy. Tasty treats… the stuff that dreams are made of!
A very personal humanist ceremony was had which included a fastening of hands followed by a drinks reception and the chance to wander the venues museum. After dinner the guests gathered in one of the venues grandest cinema’s, there they watched a short film about climate change, a unique event for a wedding, then it was on to the dance floor! As Gary serenaded his new wife for their first dance you could see he felt like the king of the world! The night progressed and the party got heavy as the Dj introduced a little anarchy in the form of Gangnam Style.
When days have turned into weeks, weeks turned into months and on one not-so-very special day, Gary goes to his typewriter, sits down, and writes your story. It will be a story about this time, a story about this place, a story about these people. But above all things, a story about love. A love that will live forever.
Lisa & Gary, most people are so ungrateful to be alive, but not you, not any more… Here’s looking at your kids! May the force be with you 🙂
P.s We’ve used a few movie quotes and adapted lines, can you spot them? Hehe
