Frosted foliage and still air, this was possibly the coldest day in November Vicky and David chose to celebrated their marriage, a day enriched by the company of their friends and family many of whom had made the journey up to Perthshire from Sheffield. Vicky and David’s relationship has taken them around the world together however with Scotland’s romanticism coupled by the gorgeous Huntingtower Castle which lies in the heart of the country this was the perfect location for this special and very personal humanist ceremony.
Preparations in the morning took place at Ballathie House Hotel where we would later return to enjoy the reception portions of the day. The bubbly popped, tasty treats enjoyed, gifts exchanged and all were ready for the day ahead.
The couple braved the cold inside the castle to say their vows in a ceremony where almost everyone had a part to play be it either to give a reading or tie the knot as a ribbon bearer for the hand fastening. The drinks continued to flow back in the warmth of the hotel as the party began.
After the delicious meal and wies-cracking speeches the partying continued into the night with the English guests being treated to traditional céilidh dancing as well as body moving pop tunes which kept the dance floor bouncing all night long.
Vicky and David we had a lovely time getting to know you and your family, we wish you all the best for the future!
