The 23rd of December saw the second of our double header festive weddings, the marriage of Carla and Mark. St.Patrick’s church in Motherwell was the location of union between the couple however the morning begun with preparations at the Bride and Groom’s separate family homes. Each surrounded themselves with their bridesmaids and groomsmen as well as close loved ones.
At the grooms house the groomsmen enjoyed cool beers whilst reminiscing about the stag do and both parents and grand parents helps tie ties and pin button holes but also made sure they relaxed before the formalities of the day.
Meanwhile Carla was with her family and friends enjoying champagne and basking in the excitement of the day. When it was time the girls slipped in to their dresses, applying their own make-up and making sure they looked perfect for the photographer who was set up in the sitting room for group portraits. As the formalities drew closer Mark and his ushers set off to the nearby church to welcome guests and await his bride. There followed a beautiful Roman Catholic ceremony which was packed with family and friends alike all there to celebrate Carla and Mark’s love and marriage.
A short drive took us to Glasgow city’s Grand Central Hotel for the drinks reception and rest of the evening. The Grand Room of the hotel was breathtaking with multiple chandeliers and changing lighting finished off with personal table decorations, it made the perfect setting for the dinner and speeches which were both hilarious and heartfelt.
The post dinning couple took to the floor to have their first dance as husband and wife. They were joined quickly by all those ready to dance off their full stomaches and kick off the party.
Carla & Mark, what a perfect time to have a wedding! We had an amazing time and we’re sure this was a christmas you both won’t forget. All the best wishes for the years ahead.
