A Wild Scottish Elopement Film In Glen Coe || Three Waters Meet

Tomi and Tahnee, along with Tahnee’s teenaged daughter travelled from New Zealand to adventure around our mystical country of Scotland and tie the knot in Glen Coe.

A bit about you, what do you do, how do you spend your time? What’s important in life?

Tomi is a Barber by trade, he loves his work but has many other hobbies including playing music, researching history and science and getting out on the motorbike for a ride. I work in hospitality, not my great passion in life, but it works for us right now. I love reading, drawing and getting out to explore the outdoors with my little family, usually always with a camera on hand. Tomi and I both work massive days, 5 days a week, so time spent with each other is the most important part of our family life.

Tell us about the proposal:
Tomi had just got off the phone to his then band manager. (Tomi was once the frontman to a band with a very heavy touring schedule) He and the other lads from the band had been asked to relocate countries. So, in the heat of the moment, he asked me to be his wife. He will tell you that it was the worst proposal ever, but to me, it was an honest and real moment of love that will forever be stored in the highlights section of my memory.

The venue(s) or location, why this place above anywhere else?
We have had many conversations over the years of where we would love to travel to. Scotland had always been on both of our lists. My gran was from Scotland, and after losing her and knowing she wouldn’t be there to witness our wedding day, I had Scotland on my mind a lot. Scotland is one of the most beautiful countries and family ties still there made it a no brainer for us.

Why Do You Want to Capture Your Wedding on Video?:
I’d love to be able to look back in years to come, hear the words we said to one another, and the promises we made, see each other’s reactions to vows (I’m NOT a crier but I’ve realised upon writing vows that ill probably cry loads and I’m sorry cause I have an ugly cry face haha!

The venue(s), why this place above anywhere else: We love the film Skyfall, so Glen Etive was perfect. We saw pictures of weddings in the highlands and fell in love with the idea of having our wedding so different to the weddings Chris shoots. To us being in the mountains shows that there is so much more to the world than us and our insignificant lives, but to each other we mean the world and more.
